Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes your maintenance model different?
At VTS we are proactive rather than reactive. Our business model is built on maintenance first. If maintenance is performed regularly, it will minimize call backs, service interruptions, and repairs. We have a dedicated maintenance team whose only job is to do maintenance.
Tractions should be serviced for maintenance on a monthly basis. Hydraulic units can be serviced for maintenance on a monthly or quarterly basis depending on the condition of the existing unit.
Elevators have a typical lifespan of approximately 20-25 years. If your unit is failing prematurely, it is more often than not driven by lack of preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. Think of an elevator like a car – if you perform your regularly scheduled maintenance, it should last a very long time.
Each service call is staffed based on the scope of work, ensuring the appropriate level of experience and oversight. Our technicians are rigorously vetted, featuring licensed and certified professionals trained across both proprietary and non-proprietary systems.
No. While there is nothing more satisfying than a fully modernized, upgraded, and sleek elevator system, we do not push for more than what is needed. There will be times where modernizations are essential to ensure safety and reliability; however, it is by no means the right fix for every client. We guarantee pressure-free service, always centering the clients vision, budget, and needs above all else. We simply arm you with the information you need to make an informed decision.
We are an integrity-first company, dedicated to providing our customers with all the information needed to be an informed buyer. Elevators are not cheap, so we invest in providing our customers the insight needed to feel comfortable that they are making the right choice. We offer the best possible price while refusing to compromise our unwavering standards of excellence and comprehensive code compliance. If our 60+ years of combined experience has taught us one thing, it’s that cheap servicing is an illusion – and a dangerous one. If it seems too good to be true, it most certainly is. We have found that paying for something to be done right the first time is always cheaper than getting the lowest price, multiple times.
